A breakdown of the facilities

The Living Room

Aframe’s cosy little living room is stocked with comfy cushions, coffee table books and board games galore. Spend your afternoon playing chess, scrabble or cards down at the coffee table whilst enjoying escarpment views through a 7m-high bank of windows or curl up on the couch or by the fireplace with a good book. Complimentary firewood and matches provided.

The Kitchen

With spotted gum cabinetry, natural stone benchtops and Italian appliances throughout, this tiny kitchen packs a mighty punch. Equipped with a gas cooktop and electric oven, you’ll also find utensils, pots and pans (along with cooking basics like salt, pepper & olive oil) ready and waiting for you to cook up a storm. Freshly ground coffee beans, specialty tea, milk and butter are also provided complimentary.

The Hot Tub

Our Stoked wood fired hot tub is the stuff dreams are made of. Soak your tired bones at the end of a long day of hiking as the sun sets or marvel at the Milky Way and passing shooting stars come nightfall. This tub personifies what it means to enjoy a slow stay. There’s nothing instantaneous about it, taking three to four hours to heat for a 60 minute soak, but it’s so incredibly worth it.

The Bedroom

Upstairs, you’ll find the Aframe’s (one and only) bedroom. It features a comfy king sized Select-O-Pedic bed that’s topped with a Hotel Cloud Collection mattress topper, doona and the softest French linen sheets all from I Love Linen. Behind the Pony Rider curtains, made from recycled truck canvases, sits a petite balcony where you can catch a final glimpse of the starry night sky before heading to bed.

The Bathroom

A soak in the fully restored 130 year old cast iron tub is a must. Spotted gum lining boards, raw brass fixtures, recycled terracotta tiles and a Robert Gordon sink (made of clay offcuts that would have otherwise gone to landfill) round out the space. On entering the bathroom, you’ll find a range of Aesop amenities as well as Australian Native Bath Soak.

The Property

With views of not one but two waterfalls from the comfort of the living room, it would be easy to understand if you never ventured past the back deck. From there, you’re likely to spot the family of kangaroos that frequents the property. Should you wish to explore a little, you’ll find 500m of private creek frontage coursing through 16 acres of backyard. But please do so at your own risk and with suitable footwear- see FAQs for more details.
